Welcome to Strictly Holistic – my blog which shares mind, body and soul health information and a little bitesize inspiration thrown in for good measure.
My name is Charlotte and I am a Bristol based Complementary Therapist and Wellbeing Coach. I practise a range of holistic therapies such as aromatherapy, holistic massage and reiki but I have a special interest in reflexology, Ayurveda and mindfulness based approaches to stress management which I continue to further my expertise in.
One of the joys of working within complementary therapy are the fantastic people you meet! Each client provides a different opportunity to help, which expands my therapeutic knowledge and experience. I also love collaborating with fellow therapists, organisations and workshop hosts to provide different holistic services and I’m passionate about how this can help people. I have been practising for seven years and feel very lucky to love my work.
A bit about me…
After gaining a degree in Journalism, Film and Broadcasting and working across communications in the public and private sector; I took a leap of faith and went back to train in complementary therapy which I had always been drawn too. My own practice and more training followed alongside further work in media relation roles which kept me very busy!
A few years later I am now fully committed to my work as a therapist alongside cancer care work in the third sector. Since qualifying in complementary therapy I have worked for myself, private businesses and volunteered within palliative care. During this time I have seen complementary therapy help many people on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level and passionately believe a holistic approach to health and wellbeing is crucial to dealing with the pressures of modern life.
At the end of 2012 I decided I wanted to share my knowledge of holistic therapy with others and so the Strictly Holistic blog was born! I hope it provides you with useful information and maybe some inspiration to brighten your day.
